About MainCFO
We manage market value, not just the finance department.
Most fractional CFO firms run your finance function: the close, the forecast, the reporting. Necessary, and not enough. MainCFO was built on a different premise: for a founder-led company between $5M and $50M, the finance function exists to make the company worth more to the people who will one day fund it or buy it — a lender, an investor, a buyer. So we start by establishing what the business is worth and what moves the number, and we run everything — the accounting, the budget, the capital strategy, the transaction preparation — against that scoreboard.
What we believe
- 01
Value is built quarters before it's tested.
The test comes from a lender’s check-in, an investor’s questions, or a buyer’s diligence. What passes it — numbers that are clean, explainable, and repeatable, and a company that runs without depending on any one person — is built as a way of operating, not assembled under deadline. We build it from month one.
- 02
M&A thinking, from day one.
Our leadership has valued $5B+ in businesses, advised $700M+ in transactions, and raised $500M+ in capital across Big Four and CFO careers. That experience is not reserved for a transaction; it shapes the chart of accounts, the budget, and the pricing model years earlier.
- 03
One team, never metered.
Managed accounting and CFO leadership from a single senior team, on a fixed monthly investment. Questions, data requests, and analysis are included. We are not a staffing firm renting you a person; we are a financial operating system pointed at enterprise value.
The team
Meet the team.
